I recently had the opportunity to furnish Teacher Education students at Dominican University in New York with my Anger Management Power (A.M.P.) Program. They were highly motivated and responsive, a group making this presentation a really enjoyable experience for me.
For educators, as well as others whose lives touch young people, this kind of experience can help answer the questions:
WHY? Examine the causes of anger, both the obvious and those that are not as apparent.
HOW? The physical, emotional and psychological effects manifest themselves in an individual experiencing this emotion
WHAT? Exploring different techniques for managing this feeling and developing situations to apply these
methods of anger management.
Acquiring the skills offered by the A.M.P. Program can result in preventing violence which often occurs when situations become explosive. It provides a pathway to the peaceful resolution of difficult situations.
