There are many who hold onto their anger and then release it after some time has passed.Their words or actions display the intensity of the pent-up feeling which they have been harboring.
Possible Effects:
It’s is a momentary action. Its intention is to hurt the person to whom they directed this feeling. Its benefit is that the person’s thoughts and feelings have been released (something emotionally and physically more healthy than withholding them) and may have hurt the person who he/she directed this attack – more than likely their intention.
Hurting them for hurting sake?-Revenge?Why were these thoughts expressed at this particular time? All these questions occur once such actions have been taken. The answers are in the heart and mind of the person expressing this feeling.
However, over the course of the time this unexpressed feeling was withheld, the sender’s health, energy and relationships may also have been effected. Hard to say, but a possibility, one that only the one who expressed this feeling may be aware of or not.
Will this action have changed anything? NO!
Will its recipient do anything different at this point? NO!
Unfortunately, the important point to be made is this hostility and possible harm created by the object of this action could have been avoided by addressing these issues soon after the time these events and feelings were occurring. It could have been at a time when emotions weren’t running high and remedies could be reached before any additional harm could be created. It is something for many people to think about when uncomfortable situations occur.
