Common Bonds
This will be my final suggestion, on becoming more united, rather than divided, by focusing on our commonalities.
The fact is, we share many similar values and goals. A “YES” response to these questions highlights how similar, we are, regardless of our political beliefs.
Do you have the security of being able to provide adequate food, clothing and housing for you and your family
Do you want to feel safe in your home, your neighborhood, where you work, or spend time?
Do you want children to have the best education possible?
Can you afford to pay for medical expenses you may need for yourself or your family members?
Are you protected from financial, economic, or physical harm by the laws and those who enforce them in our society?
Hopefully, we can all conclude we are brought together rather than separated by these common bonds, that is; we want or need the same things.
A mindset for all of us to begin to develop — One providing a path to unity.
