A Worthwhile Presentation

People facilitate presentations in a variety of ways with various goals. They have a purpose; whether to convey information regarding a book, a unique task, or presenting an idea or program. It may be in the form of a lecture, a media presentation or by engaging and interacting with their audience. Each individual has their own style. Whether or not the objectives are met, determine the success and value for the presenter.

What makes a presentation worthwhile? I recently had the opportunity to facilitate an interactive presentation at the Miller Memorial Library in Hamden, CT. based on the Anger Management Power (AMP) Program, also serving as the foundation of my book, The Second Edition of Peace: The Other Side of Anger. My goal was to provide helpful information on understanding anger, that is; viewing some of its causes and effects, and offering techniques which may enable youngsters (as well as those in other age groups) to express this emotion without harming themselves or others. The participants were engaged, and through their questions, comments and discussion during and after the presentation, interest in further exposure on this topic will hopefully be scheduled.

For me, this effort was worthwhile!

The photograph below was taken during this presentation. Many Thanks go to Elisabeth Angele, Head of Information and Patron Services at this library for her thorough and awesome efforts for advertising this event and for making sure everything needed for the presentation was working and correct.
